Unique Optical System Reduces Lens Aberration

For Full Details Download the PRODUCT CATALOGUE Using the SERVICE PULLDOWN Above.

Highly accurate measurement

Utilizing a specially developed CCD as the light-receiving element and a 32-bit ultra-high speed RISC processor for signal processing, the LK series provides highly accurate measurement regardless of target surface properties. The LK-011 delivers a resolution of 0.1 μm and linearity of ±0.25% of F.S.

Visible laser beam spot of 20 μm diameter

KEYENCE's unique optical system minimizes lens aberration to give the LK-011 a minimum spot diameter of 20 μm. This enables the surface contour of a target to be accurately measured.

New optical system with wide beam spot (LK-036/LK-086)

Wide beam spot Prevents data fluctuation by averaging the diffused reflections caused by minute projections on the target's rough surface. Reliable measurement can be ensured on the surface such as those with burrs and hairline distortions.

Measures mirrored surface and transparent objects (LK-011)

Wide beam spot The Mirrored surface mode, enables measurement of mirror-surfaced objects and transparent objects.

Stable measurement is ensured even when the target changes from a mirror-surfaced object to a transparent object.

Stable measurement of various target surfaces

The patent-pending LFTC circuit enables measurement of multicoloured or patterned targets. Low reflective targets, such as black rubber, can be measured without additional adjustment.

Sensor Heads for Harsh Environments

Get accurate measurement even in harsh environmental conditions such as in the manufacturing process.
The LK-011 Sensor is IP-64 rated while the LK-031/036 and LK-081/086 are rated IP-67.

Triangulation Measurement System

The LK CCD Laser Displacement Meter uses a triangulation measurement principle as follows: A semiconductor laser beam is reflected off the target surface and passes through a custom designed receiver lens system. The beam is focused on a CCD sensing array. The CCD detects the peak value of the light quantity distribution of the beam spot. The CCD pixels (individual CCD sensing elements) within the area of the beam spot are used to determine the precise target position. As illustrated in the diagram above, as the target displacement changes relative to the LK sensor head, the reflected beam position changes on the CCD array. These positional changes are analyzed by the LK Controller which resolves height changes as small as 0.1 micron. (LK-011)
