The RoHS Directive. The RoHS Directive will take effect in EU member states on July 1st 2006. Under the directive, it will no longer be permissible to market electronic and electrical equipment that contain certain chemical substances. When deciding what products are RoHS applicable, the following ten categories determined by the EU are considered.
