Measurement of battery cases

Battery covers, which are getting larger every year, can be measured. Batteries need to be highly airtight and durable to withstand impacts in different environments. If battery covers are not larger than the size that can be manufactured by casting, quality can be guaranteed based on the metal moulds. However, as they are getting larger, manufacturing has switched to welding pressed or cut parts, which has made dimension measurement more important. The WM Series can measure width, length of diagonal lines, and flatness, in addition to basic hole positions. Strain can be made visible if the flatness is displayed in a colour map. Flatness can not only affect safety and airtightness, but also be a factor in position misalignment during automatic transportation, leading to incorrect assembly.
